Our Team

In Memoriam

It is with heavy hearts that we must inform you all that our dear Dr. Todd has passed away. After being the leader of our team for over 35 years and a phenomenal veterinarian for almost 45 years, his loss leaves a void in all of our hearts. He was a wonderful veterinarian and an inspiring man and friend to us all. He was endlessly generous and always kept the needs of others in the forefront of his mind. We will miss his stories of life growing up in South Texas and all of the life lessons and advice that he shared with us over the years. He would want us to keep caring for all of his patients and we shall continue to do so per our usual schedule as to the best of our abilities. We appreciate your patience with our staff as we are a family owned and operated business, so this loss effects us all very deeply. Thank you all for being members of our Pet Shots for Less family and we look forward to caring for all of our patients for the years to come. Bless you all.

James Todd

I have been working with Dr. Todd much of my life and I function as Manager of the vaccine clinics. Since I was young, I have worked at several of the clinics that Dr. Todd has run around the metroplex, but we have settled into a wonderful place here with the vaccine clinics. I have four girls in grade school, and they are the light of my life. Between keeping up with them, earning my engineering degree from UTA, tending to Dr. Todd’s ranch and working our clinics, my life is never boring! I enjoy gardening and tending to my saltwater aquariums. I love to cook and read in my downtime which is scarce, but I enjoy spending time with my girls the most. I enjoy getting to see our patients grow up and finding friendship in our clients over the years. It is important to me that our clients are informed, and I am always happy to help our clients with any questions they have and find them the support they need for their pet.

Jenny Todd

Hello, my name is Jenny and I’ve had the privilege of working around animals in the veterinary field my whole life. I attended the University of Texas at Arlington, with coworker Amanda, where we graduated with a Fine Arts Degree in Photography.  I had the absolute pleasure of living in Florence, Italy right before my graduation from UTA, and yes, it was difficult to move back. Music has always been a big part of my life and my favorite place to be is an intimate concert venue, surrounded by wonderful friends and fantastic music.  I’ve always worked in the veterinary field with Dr. Todd, my father, because of my love for animals and my love for the field of medicine. I also have the privilege of working with my loving brother James every day and spending time with his daughters on our family ranch, Rancho La Rosa. Our brother Heath also lives close by and I am grateful for how much time our family is blessed to get to spend together. My mom, Alice Ann, who is by all means the kindest person I've ever known, and Dr. Todd just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary together. I lead a sun filled life, and I cannot wait to meet you and your pets and give them the most loving care possible.

Angelica Todd

My name is Angelica and I am the newest addition to the Pet Shots for Less team and also the youngest at 17 years old. I've been working with my father (James), grandfather (Dr. Todd) and aunt (Jenny) here at the clinics for about 2 years now and while I am still learning the last ins and outs of the job, I'm confident that you will find that we provide the best service around! I enjoy drawing and other forms of art and music, though drawing is my personal favorite. I am the proud owner of a handsome manx cat who goes by the name of Mouse who is just the sweetest. He started as a barn cat, but after stealing my heart, he has upgraded to having a kitty door in my room for his coming and goings. I can't wait to see and meet all of you and your pets!

Dr. Mike Buschel

I graduated from University of North Texas in Denton with my Bachelor's degree and then I attended Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1993. While in vet school, I concentrated on Small Animal Medicine with a strong interest in Internal Medicine. After graduation, I returned to the DFW area and began working for Dr. Todd at Town & Country Veterinary Clinic as well as Arkansas Browning Animal Clinic.  I have worked in small animal medicine for over 25 years, almost exclusively for Dr. Todd’s organization. I have called Irving home for the last 30 years and I love the local area.  When not at work, I enjoy watching the sports, traveling and collecting sports cards and memorabilia.

Alicia

  Hey! My name is Alicia.

I do many things for the business, but most will recognize me as the receptionist at the vaccination clinics. I have known Dr. Todd and his family for about 15 years, but I started working with Dr. Todd about 11 years ago as a ranch hand at Rancho La Rosa (mostly barn work, but I love getting to play with the horses). I moved out to the ranch in 2011 and have been a part of the Todd family ever since. I started working at the vaccination clinics about 9 years ago and I have been here ever since. I was trained as a tech assistant for the clinics, but I transitioned into reception part time to learn the computer. Working, as a receptionist, was one of the best things I could have done, as it brought me out of my shell and taught me how to interact with people and not just pets. Having the ability to work with animals is amazing in itself. Being on the ranch has its definite pluses being that my niece, nephews as well as other children of visitors on the ranch can vouch for that as they LOVE being able to come out and ride the horses. It’s amazing to see how much joy it brings them and many other people! I love being able to help people keep their pets safe. I am currently enrolled in college to get my degree in nursing so that I can eventually help both pets and people stay safe and healthy!

Romina

Hello, my name is Romina Morgan. I’ve been working in the veterinary field for 7 years and with Pet Shots for Less for about 4 years. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2015 (Whoop!) and I’m currently working on becoming a veterinarian. In my free time I enjoy hiking, kayaking, and fostering kittens with the help of my 6-year-old collie mix Heidi and with no help from my 4-year-old cat Lexie. I love being able to help the community and their furry friends with the low-cost services we provide. Thanks for reading this; I hope you have a wonderful day!

Erin

Hi there, I’m Erin! I am a mother of two fantastic, sassy and way too smart little girls. I am a tech assistant for the wonderful Dr. Todd at the vaccination clinics. I have worked for him for a bit over 3 years now. I first started working with Dr. Todd at his ranch, Rancho La Rosa, as a horseback riding instructor and now I am working at the clinics. I have been in the veterinary business since I was 18 years old. I am a horse trainer, a riding instructor and a glorified taxi driver for my two girls. My oldest is on a select softball team and she races as well as shows our horses. My youngest is all about horses and anything four legged. We have 6 horses, 6 dogs and 2 pigs. I enjoy cooking out, concerts and lazy nights at home. I truly love working for Pet Shots for Less, it is the highlight of my week getting to see everyone and meet their four-legged family members.

Amanda

Oh, hi! I am Amanda and I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Dr. Todd and his family for the last 13 years as a veterinary technician between his veterinary clinics, the vaccination clinics and at Rancho La Rosa. I've been in the veterinary field for over 21 years and I've worked all over Texas, but I've always made my way back to Dr. Todd. He has said that he raised me from a pup in his clinics and honestly, that's true. I have a Bachelor's in Fine Arts from University of Texas at Arlington where I graduated with Jenny, Dr. Todd's daughter. I have a pure-blood mutt named Leeloo (whom I adopted from Dr. Todd at one of his clinics), a 15 year old ball python named Slade and my four Lavender Orpington chickens named Ron (the rooster), April, Donna and Leslie. High five if you get my reference :) I love nerdy things, art and gardening. I enjoy musicals and good humor. I have always had a special place in my heart for animals and I love being able to help our clients take care of their furry family members.

Where do I go for more than routine care?
